Reg Remington
After completing his national service in the R.A.F
in 1951, in the same year he becameemployed by Francis Edwards Ltd.
who gave him the necessary training and knowledge of the various reference
works to becoming a general booksellers assistant.A vacancy as an
assistant in the voyage and travel department arose and he was given
this position to continue his training exclusively with Herbert Edwards.

Upon Herbert Edwards' retirement, Reg became responsible
for the voyage and travel department and in 1970 became a director
of the company. When the Edwards' family decided to sell Francis Edwards
Ltd. in 1979, Reg chose to leave and formed a partnership with his
son specialising in selling voyage and travel books.
Philip Remington
Philip began his bookselling career in 1972 when
he became employed by Hodgsons Book Auction Rooms, Chancery Lane.
The knowledge he obtained gave him the confidence to begin his own
bookselling business in 1975, he attended many of the early PBFA Bookfairs
before he decided to join his father in a partnership in 1979.
